API 650 Terms and Definition(용어의 정의)

API 650에 관심이 있으신 분들이 있는거 같아 하나하나 단락에 대해서 설명하는 posting을 해볼까합니다. 

많은 사람들이 Standard를 보실때 넘어가기 쉬운 부분입니다. 

하지만 일을 하거나, 다른 파트나 혹은 Client와 argue시 용어의 정의를 먼저하고 협의해야 해야할 경우가 많기때문에, 

아주 중요한 부분이라고 할수 있습니다.  

 

오늘은 이부분에 대하여 설명해도록 하겠습니다. 

 

3.1 Centerline-stacked

The mid-thickness centerlines of plates in all shell course coincide

 

Shell course stacking하는 방법중의 하나이다. 여기서 나올수 있는 질문은 다음과 같다. 방법의 차이인데

"Centerline-stacked Vs Flush inside-stacked method" centerline에 맞춰서 course stacking 하는 방법이다. 

통상의 경우 위쪽으로 올라갈수록 Shell plate의 두께가 얇아지기 때문에 Centering line 에 맞추어서 Align을 본다.

 

아래와 같은 technical correction을 참조해보자

5.1.5 Typical Joints 5.1.5.1(c) Shell courses on open top tanks and tanks with external or internal floating roofs shall be flush-stacked on the inside. Shell courses on other tank types may be centerline-stacked or flush-stacked on the inside or outside as specified on API 650 Tank Data Sheet

 

추가적인 설명으로는 5.1.3.5 Horizontal Shell joints를 참조할 수 있다.

b)항을 보면, 별도로 명기하지 않은한, Abutting(에 대한 상세사항은 하기를 참조하자)

shall at horizontal joints는 Common vertical centerline 맞추어 시공해야 한다.  

 

Alignment에 대한 사항은 7.2.3.2를 참조하여 시공하면 되겠다. 상세하게 하려니 글이 좀 길어지는거 같다. 

위에서 보듯이 첫장 Definition에서 출발을 해도 standard 나 code 전범위 혹은 다른 기술까지도 섭렵해야지 상세하게 이해할 수 있는 내용이 많다. 다음엔 coating Definition에 대해서 알아보도록 하겠다(3.2) 

이 경우 다음에 설명하겠지만 Coating 과 Painting 을 구분해야 되겠다.
