파이코인 노드(Pi network Node Setup)-컴퓨터 채굴?

파이 coin 의 Node가 오늘 공식적으로 Beta Version이 Release 되었다. 

컴퓨터가 어떤 type인지 설문지를 작성하면 Core team이 Review하여 답변준다고 화면이 뜨고 스마트폰에 뜬 것과 동일한 화면이 뜬다. 

아직은 이 Node program을 가지고 어떤식으로 Security에 기여하는지는 나오지 않았지만, 24시간 컴퓨터 연결이 가능하냐고 뜬 것으로 보아, Hash power를 추가하겠지하는 추측만 해본다. 

 

다운로드 사이트는 Node.minepi.com이다. 여기서 window용과 mac 용 두가지 version중 하나를 다운 받을 수 있다. 

 

다른 곳에서 Fake site에서 설치하는게 뜰수도 있어서 꼭 주소를 확인하라고 주의를 준다 .

설치하게 되면 제일 처음 Log-in을 해야한다. Log-in 방법은 App의 Node 부분에 들어가서 인증코드를 치면 

Node 프로그램이 Activate된다. 그리고 나서 짧은 설문이 따라온다.

1. 기종이 무엇인지

2. 데스크 탑인지 노트북인지? 

3. 운영체계는 무엇인지? 

4. 하루에 얼마나 사용예정인지? 등의 

 

2대 정도를 등록해 놓았는데 핸드폰과는 다르게 2대를 등록함에 무리가 없었다. 설치 후에는 핸드폰과 동일한 화면이 뜬다. Core team이 15명 밖에 안되어서 review하고 회신하는데 시간이 걸릴것으로 보인다. 마이닝을 컴퓨터에서도 동일하게 할 수 있으면 좋겠다. 이번에 Fund Building 하는 건도 안건으로 나온것으로 보이는데 

한달 서버 유지하는데 들어가는 돈이 5000만원 정도 하는 것으로 알고 있음. 광고를 등록할 것으로 보인다. 

Node에서도 비슷한 수익 모델을 유치하면 적극적으로 참여하고 그에 대한 보상을 Pi coin으로 주면 좋겠다.

2단계에서 가장 중요한 Testnet 론칭이 얼마 남지 않은 것으로 보인다. 다시 보니 오늘 설치한 것은 Computer App 처럼 보인다. Node에서 중요한 Submit tranaction/ Validation of blockchain 등의 기능은 빠져있는 것으로 보인다.

Levels of Node Participation  There are currently three levels of participation for Pioneers to use the Pi Node software on their computers. Computer App Computer App refers to only using the desktop Pi App interface of the node software. It enables Pioneers who want to interact with the Pi app from their computers, so it has similar functionalities to the mobile app. For example, many Pioneers have previously expressed that they want to be able to chat on Pi through their computers rather than phones. Hence, we designed the desktop Pi App interface on Pi Node software, and combined this interface with the node software. Also, in the future, as more functionalities are added to the Pi App, e.g. Apps Platform and the various apps on the platform, some of them might be easier to access through the desktop interface than the mobile application. Node Node means that Pioneers access the node interface, finish installing necessary technical preparations based on instructions, and switch on/off the node interface to make their computer available to run the blockchain component after being selected to be a Node. Although they don’t participate in the consensus, they verify the validity of the blockchain and submit transactions to get recorded on the blockchain. In the future, when Pi’s blockchains expand to more than securing a ledger, Nodes will expand to include computers opting in to contribute to collective hardware resources of the network, such as computation, storage and bandwidth. SuperNode SuperNodes are the backbone of Pi’s Blockchain. They are responsible for reaching consensus based on the algorithm to write the right transaction on the Pi ledger, in addition to all the responsibilities that a node performs. They’re also responsible for making sure other SuperNodes and Nodes get the latest state of the blockchain. SuperNodes also utilize the node interface and are initially selected by the Core Team. They need to be connected to the network 24/7 and have reliable internet connection. Selection Process for Nodes and SuperNodes To apply to serve as a Node or SuperNode on Pi’s Testnet: Download and install the Pi Node software on your computer. Fill in the Pi Node application inside the Pi Node software. Install technical packages based on the instructions from the node interface and keep the software running as much as you are comfortable with (It can be running in the background.)  The Core team will then select Nodes and SuperNodes based on criteria defined in the next section.   Selected Node and SuperNode applicants will be informed through the node interface on a rolling basis over the next 3 months. The number of Pioneers selected will be determined by the numbers of applicants that meet the selection criteria listed in the following section.  Selection Criteria for Nodes and SuperNodes After an initial screening period, Nodes and SuperNodes will be selected based on the following criteria. While both will be assessed on similar criteria, the threshold for Nodes will be lower than SuperNodes.     Uptime (i.e., Online 24/7) Good internet connection (fast and stable) (initially) ability to open ports on local router Adequate processor and memory Previous contributions to the Pi community Security circles   Based on your node reliability and trust score in Pi Network, you will be invited to KYC. Applicants that complete KYC will be enrolled to serve as a SuperNode and Node in Pi’s Testnet.   During the initial Testnet period, the primary goal is to stress test the network’s consensus algorithm. While not all Pioneers will have the hardware, software, and network reliability to participate in the initial Testnet, Pi always aims to be as inclusive as possible. All Pioneers will continue to be able to participate via Pi’s mobile application. Furthermore, over time, we also aim to make the Node role more accessible by developing additional ways that Pioneers can contribute to the network.   Node FAQ What Impact Will The Node Have On My Device? Will It Drain My CPU And Battery? If you do not turn on the Node or SuperNode part, then the impact is minimal, very little CPU, memory or network traffic should be consumed, making it accessible to everyone. Turning on the Node or SuperNode functionality will be using CPU, memory, hard drive and network resources. Over the course of Testnet, we will be collecting data to more clearly determine the impact of running the Nodes on specific devices. Will There Be A Reward For Running A Pi Node? One of the goals of Pi’s Testnet is to determine what, if any, rewards there should be for running a Node. While we collect the relevant data needed to determine the most appropriate incentive mechanism, there will be no mining rewards for Testnet Nodes.

개인적으로 중요하지 않다고 생각하는 부분은 다 들어냈으니 전문을 보고 싶은 분은 해당 Site에 들어가서 열람하면 되겠다 https://minepi.com/node-info Node에는 3가지의 다른 모드가 있는데 1. Computer App App과 크게 틀리지 않다. App에서 이용할 수 있는 부분을 컴퓨터에서 이용하게 되었다고 생각하면 맞을 듯. 나중에 Function이 추가될 예정이다.    2. Node  선택되고 나면(By core team) Blockchain component를 일부 받아 Resource를 사용하여(배터리, CPU) 운용하게 된다. 아래 보면 채굴이라는 의미는 아니다. Stress test 에 운용되어지게 된다. 채굴 비슷한 활동을 On/off 형태로 하게 된다. Verify Validation of transaction이다. 그게(다른 블럭 체인과 동일)   3, Super Node  가장 중요한 역할을 하게 된다. 우리나라에서 하게 될지 모르겠다 지금 운영자인 한분 정도만 할듯.. 여기서부터는 합의과정에서 참여를 하게 된다. 참여는 Core team이 선정하게 된다. Node까지는 컴퓨터로 선정하는 듯 참고로 이건 24/7 동안 컴퓨터를 켜놔야지 가능하다.    Selection Criteria for Nodes and SuperNodes 이래서 설문을 작성하라고 한것으로 보인다. 헐..늦은거 같다. 이글을 보시는 분들은 24/7으로 돌리면 좋을 거 같다. 참고로 지웠다가 다시 설치해도 이전으로 돌아간다  - Uptime(얼마나 운용하는지) - Good internet Connection - Ability to open ports on local router(Port 열수 있는지) - Adequate processers and memory(컴퓨터 용량) - Previous contribution to the pi community(채굴량?) - Security circles(방패?)   여기서 Core team이 결정해서 KYC를 진행하고 Node로 될지 Supernode로 될지 선택하는 것으로 보인다.    지금 진행하는 것은 initial testnet period인데, Primary goal은 stress test로 보인다. 이 부분은 Exclusive로 일부만 선택되서어서 진행할 것으로 보인다. 써 놓고 보니 내가 선택될 가능성은 거의 없는 것으로 보인다.    아래는 FAQ이다. 다 번역하기 귀찮아서 중요한 부분만 번역하겠다.  1. Node가 컴퓨터에 영향을 미치는지?  꺼놓으면 거의 영향이 없지만 켜는 순간, 일정부분의 Resoure를 사용하게 될 것이고 Testnet을 운용시, 얼마나 Impact을 미치는지 측정하게 될 예정이다.    2. Pi node 운용하면 보상이 있는지?  당분간은 없다고 보면 된다. (참여에 의미가 있고, 니중에 어떤 형태로 우선권을 줄 것으로 보인다)

Node/ Supernode가 되면 나중에 올 보상을 기대해도 되겠다. Communuity에 활동은 chatting에서 받은 좋아요나 싫어요 등 채굴양등 + 설문을 기반으로, Core team이 직접/간접적으로 선택할 것으로 보인다.
